Foundation ships as a heavy glass bottle with a pump that snaps off at the worst moment. The number-one complaint we hear from beauty brands is not print quality - it is bottles arriving cracked. After years of building custom foundation packaging boxes, the fix is almost always the same: stop using a folding carton and move to a rigid case with a die-cut insert.
What a Rigid Case Changes
Our custom foundation boxes use a 1200gsm greyboard core wrapped in 157gsm art paper. That core is what keeps the walls from flexing when the parcel is dropped on a sorting belt. Inside, an EVA or foam insert is cut to the bottle and pump profile, so the glass sits in its own cavity and does not slide into the lid. A magnetic closure holds the case shut through the whole journey - no tape, no glue fatigue.
Why Brands Switch
The brands that move fastest treat the bottle as fragile cargo, not shelf decoration. A clean magnetic close becomes part of the unboxing - open, use, snap shut. When the gold foil edges catch the light next to a flat cardboard competitor, the case does quiet selling work for you. And because the insert is custom, the same box fits a 30ml or 50ml bottle by changing one cavity.
