What Is a Reverse Tuck End Box?
A reverse tuck end (RTE) folding carton closes with the top tuck opening on the front and the bottom tuck opening on the rear. This opposite-direction closure hides the seam at the back, giving a cleaner front face and a slightly more secure hold than a straight tuck.
How It Is Built
The carton folds flat and is erected by pushing the two tuck panels into opposite ends. Dust flaps lock the sides, and the reverse orientation means the product opening is less exposed during handling.
Common Applications
RTE boxes are widely used for food, tea, electronics, cosmetics and health products that need a tidy front panel for branding. They handle slightly heavier items better than straight tuck styles.

Why is a reverse tuck end box cheaper than a straight tuck end box?
The reverse tuck layout nests more efficiently on the printing sheet, so you get more cartons out of the same board area and generate less waste. On large runs this typically saves 5-12% on material cost compared with a straight tuck end of identical dimensions.
Is a reverse tuck end box strong enough for shipping?
RTE cartons are primary retail packaging rather than shipping cartons. For direct e-commerce delivery we recommend either upgrading to E-flute laminated board or placing the printed RTE carton inside a corrugated mailer.
What is the minimum order quantity?
500 pieces per design. Because RTE is our most economical tuck style, it is a popular choice for brands testing a new SKU before committing to larger volumes.
Can reverse tuck end boxes be made food safe?
Yes. We use food-grade paperboard and low-migration inks, and can add a grease-resistant or PE coating on the inner face. Tell us the exact product type so we can match the correct liner.
Do you offer window patching on RTE cartons?
Yes. We can die-cut a window in any panel and patch it with PET, PVC or biodegradable PLA film. Windows are usually kept at least 6mm from folds and creases to protect structural strength.

Packing Method For Corrugated Packaging:
Generally no need to put the PE bags inside of the cartons. Since the boxes are glued a layer of cardboard, generally production time is not long enough to dry the paper box. If you tie the PE bags, the steamed water pearl will be produced inside of the bags.
