What Is a 1-2-3 Bottom Box?
A 1-2-3 bottom, also known as a lock bottom or cherry lock carton, features an interlocking base that assembles in three simple folds. Once locked, it forms a flat, strong floor that ships and stores well.
How It Is Built
The base consists of two dust flaps and a front lock flap. Folding step one closes the dust flaps, step two folds the lock flap under, and step three tucks it into place. The carton then lies flat until needed and pops into a sturdy box.
Common Applications
This style suits heavier products, gift sets, multipacks and mailer shipments that must survive transit without a separate outer carton.

What does 1-2-3 bottom mean?
It refers to the three-step assembly sequence: fold panel one, tuck panel two, lock panel three. The interlocking flaps hold the base without glue, which makes it stronger than a simple tuck bottom while avoiding the gluing cost of an auto bottom.
When should I choose a 1-2-3 bottom over an auto bottom?
Choose 1-2-3 when your volumes are moderate and you want a sturdier base than a tuck end at the lowest possible unit price. Choose auto bottom when packing speed matters more than unit cost.
Can the bottom hold heavy or sharp items?
A snap lock base handles 1-2 kg reliably in 400gsm board. For sharp or very heavy items we recommend adding an insert or upgrading to laminated E-flute so the base does not bow.
What is the minimum order quantity and lead time?
500 pieces minimum, with 7-12 working days production after proof approval. Snap lock cartons need no gluing stage, so they are often a day or two faster than auto bottom.

Packing Method For Corrugated Packaging:
Generally no need to put the PE bags inside of the cartons. Since the boxes are glued a layer of cardboard, generally production time is not long enough to dry the paper box. If you tie the PE bags, the steamed water pearl will be produced inside of the bags.
