What Is a Straight Tuck End Box?
A straight tuck end (STE) folding carton has its top and bottom closure flaps tucking toward the same side of the box. The two dust flaps and the tuck panels share a common back panel, which makes the carton quick to erect and economical to produce. It is one of the most common structural styles for lightweight retail and presentation packaging.
How It Is Built
The carton is supplied flat and folds along pre-scored lines. The front and back panels form the body, while the top and bottom tucks slide into the same end. A pair of dust flaps closes the open sides and keeps small items contained.
Common Applications
STE cartons suit cosmetics, skincare, pharmaceuticals, supplements, confectionery and lightweight electronics where the product is inserted from the top. They are a popular choice for shelf-ready retail boxes and subscription items.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a straight tuck end and a reverse tuck end box?
On a straight tuck end box both the top and bottom flaps fold in from the same direction (usually from the back panel), so the closure seams sit on the back and the front face stays completely clean. A reverse tuck end box folds the top flap from the back and the bottom flap from the front, which uses less board and costs slightly less, but leaves a visible seam on the front. Choose STE when the front panel is your primary selling surface.
What is the minimum order quantity for a custom straight tuck end box?
Our MOQ is 500 pieces per size and design. Digital printing lets us keep short runs economical, while offset printing becomes more cost-effective from roughly 2,000 pieces upward.
How long does production take?
Standard production is 7-12 working days after you approve the digital proof and dieline. Add 2-3 days for specialty finishes such as hot foil stamping, embossing or soft-touch lamination.
Can I get a physical sample before mass production?
Yes. We produce a white blank mock-up in your exact dimensions free of charge (you cover courier), and a fully printed pre-production sample for a small fee that is credited back on bulk orders above 2,000 pieces.
What file format do you need for artwork?
Send print-ready AI, PDF or EPS files in CMYK at 300 dpi with 3mm bleed and fonts outlined. We supply a free dieline template for your exact size, and our design team can adapt existing artwork at no extra cost.

Packing Method For Corrugated Packaging:
Generally no need to put the PE bags inside of the cartons. Since the boxes are glued a layer of cardboard, generally production time is not long enough to dry the paper box. If you tie the PE bags, the steamed water pearl will be produced inside of the bags.
